Welcome! This is my website, where I will present interesting text analyses.

Currently, I am working on the text of Frankenstein, written by Mary Shelley in 1818.

My name is Hasna. I will be using this space to exhibit my English text responses.

The text, Frankenstein, focuses on a scientist who creates a monster. Through the multiple murders of those whom the scientist cares about, the text explores death and grief. The scientist, who is the titular character, feels no obligation to care for his creation, even after the creature implores him. These topics were quite close to Shelley’s heart, as she suffered the loss of her mother when she was young and is afraid of the task of parenting.

My response to the text is an analytical piece, presented in digital format. I’ve included more than one analysis, to give the reader the feelings that the blog is an established, fully functioning page. In the page, I have included infographics which I created using piktochart. I have included these for readers who have not read the text but would still like to read and understand the analysis. The purpose of these links and infographics is also to show more understanding of the text (and to qualify as a digital medium).

It is easy to use the page:  To read any of the blog pages, click on the title of the article. Once there, click on the hyperlinked words that interest you, and be taken (in a new tab) to a relevant page. There is also a survey. After you have completed the survey, you can see the results others have entered.

If you’d like, leave a comment with feedback. Enjoy (:
